Dance Theatre Company
ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½â€™s Dance Theatre Company is the Dance and Performance Studies Program’s professionally-oriented dance company. It is open to all ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ dancers, via auditions that happen at the start of every semester.
Our goal is to acquaint both the University, the state and the region with Dance, Performance Art and Movement Theatre through workshops, master classes, lecture- demonstrations, site and concert performances.

About Dance Theatre Company
The Dance Theatre Company participates in the American College Dance Festival in various parts of the country. The company has been invited several times to perform at the prestigious National Gala Concert of the American College Dance Festival at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. The company was chosen for outstanding choreographic and performance ability from among hundreds of performances held throughout the nation. The adjudicators for these festivals are nationally and internationally acclaimed artists in the field of Dance and Performance.

The company has performed in New York City, Philadelphia, Boston, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Virginia, New York State, Providence, RI, and London, UK. Our students have been recognized with a national Dance Magazine choreography nomination, and scholarship nominations from the Alvin Ailey American Dance Center, The Nikolais/Louis Lab, and the American College Dance Festival Association for their performance and choreographic abilities.
Join Dance Theatre Company
Dance Theatre is the repertory company of ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½â€™s Dance & Performance Studies Program.
All ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ students are welcome to audition! Though required of all Dance Majors, many Minors and Core Concentrators also love being a part of this dynamic dance-making community.
Dance Theatre members develop their resumes and professional networks by working in a company setting with guest artists, faculty, and peer choreographers. Each semester the company performs a series of events that are open to the public. Our week-long concert series at the end of each semester is a notorious friend and family favorite.
