Although ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ is now more than 1,000 miles away, Elizabeth LeMasters knows that is where she began her journey to becoming an Association of Public Health Laboratories CDC Emerging Infectious Disease Fellow.

At ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½, students are given opportunities to translate their education into meaningful research that can benefit the community. Mary Yurkevicius has been researching health benefits of various fish species in the Narragansett Bay for the past four years.

Learning an art form is a difficult task in and of itself, but using that art form as a tool for social justice is the work of artistic activism. Cayley Dorr worked with Professor Cathy Nicoli and her Advanced Choreography class to express what they’d learned about the refugee crisis through the medium they are passionate about.

At ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ our faculty incorporate real world topics that underscore classroom lessons, making the work both relevant and impactful. Dr. Gentles-Peart strives to make her classwork applicable for all students.

With an alumni base that’s constantly growing throughout the state, country and around the world, it’s easy to get and stay connected. Bill Tracey, a Construction Management alumnus and President of Trac Builders in Providence, knows the importance of these connections.

When our students graduate, they’re ready to tackle the world and build a successful career. Kevin Cameron talks about how his hands-on experience while at ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ prepared him to land a job at Zeal Hockey.

At ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½, we encourage you to pursue your interests with another major or minor that will give you an edge on your career path. Reggie Estinvil, a senior from Holbrook, Massachusetts, is a perfect example.

Joseph McKenna says it was his hand-on, personalized experience in the Roger Williams' Criminal Justice program that laid the foundation for his success as an associate director of research and evaluation for the Texas School Safety Center.

Many of our students find that getting involved on the Roger Williams campus often provides key experiences and skills they can use to build the skills employers want in order to secure future jobs.

At ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½, we actively seek students who are willing challenge themselves, try new things and develop real-world experience. Daymar Rosser, a West Philadelphia native who was captain when ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½'s National Polo Team went on a championship run, is a prime example.
